Initiation Into a Sacred Tradition

The Oak Path

Ancient fathers, grandmothers, and spirits of the land, the water, sky, and the sea, I call on you to reawaken me—to life in harmony, care, and respect for each other.
— Stephan

Welcome to the Journey

The Oak Path is a call from the land itself, a whisper from the trees, a song carried by the wind. It is a path of remembering, of rekindling the ancient bond between humans and the living world. Through this path, we weave the wisdom of our ancestors—Seiðr, Vǫlva, and the Druids, the Oak-Knowers of the Celts—back into the rhythm of modern life.

“Living a life with an open heart” is the mantra and compass on this path of deep reverence for the voices of nature, the spirits of plants, and the sacred dance of the elements. This is an invitation to step into the great song of Mother Earth, where your own roots may grow strong once more.

Upcoming Ceremonies and Retreats on The Oak Path:

What we can learn from the Oak:
Robustness and Grace

Come with whatever you carry - Oak has a broad shoulder to lean on and shows you a graceful way of dealing with it.

Its body stands firm, hard wood shaped by time, its growth striking like lightning, its acorn a symbol of potential. No wonder our ancestors saw in Oak the presence of the gods of thunder and storms—Thor, Zeus, Jupiter, Donar… Even today, it remains a symbol of strength and resilience.

But our ancestors knew more than its power. While the masculine aspects holds the frame and structure, the feminine essence weaves within—silent, steady, and wise.

From the Greeks and Romans to the Celts, Oak was honored by many names, its spirit revered by those who dedicated their lives to listening—to the rustling of its leaves, the wisdom held in its rings. In later Christian times, echoes of these ancient traditions lived on; St. Mary, often a substitute for older feminine deities, was linked to the sacred presence of Oak.

Oak carries its immense presence without force, how it gives shade, acorns, and strength without demanding anything in return. It is both commanding and gentle, much like the dance of nature itself.

An Anciet Path in Modern Times

To walk an ancestral path is learning to listen—to the murmuring streams, to the rustling leaves, to the silent knowing carried by the land itself.

We have forgotten the language of the trees, the rhythm of the earth, and the wisdom that lies beyond distraction. Yet, the ancient path does not belong to history—it is alive beneath our feet, woven into our breath, and reflected in the cycles that move through us. What once was whispered through sacred groves and sung in ancestral rites is still present—waiting to be remembered.

The Oak Path offers a bridge between these worlds—guiding us to walk with strength and grace, integrating timeless teachings into the fabric of our daily lives. This is not an escape from the modern world but a way to move within it with deeper presence, resilience, and purpose.

The Guiding Spirit

Beyond the rational mind, our soul still speaks to us in mystical stories. Here we find the Oak as a symbol of wisdom and connection across cultures and time. From ancient tribal gatherings under its branches to its association with gods like Zeus and Thor, the Oak represents strength, forgiveness, and timeless growth—a non-coercive presence and a source of fair judgment. In the sacred groves of the Druids, the Oak stood at the heart of their temples as living pillars of nature's wisdom.

Though much has been forgotten, nothing is ever truly lost. The spirit of Oak remains, waiting for us to reconnect and step once more into its sacred realms.

The spirits of the trees are the same ones our ancestors once brought offerings to, and they welcome us still—when we remember them as living beings, with the trees as their homes.

Oak invites us to adopt broader perspectives and integrate opposites beyond judgment. Linear progress and cyclical patterns are not in conflict—they complement one another. Masculine, steady consistency coexists with feminine, rhythmic change, creating a harmonious balance. Together, these forces align, helping us navigate life.

The Path in Detail

We start this circle in March and end in April 2026 - to begin another one…

This transformative journey spans one year, guiding you through:

Each retreat serves as a cornerstone of the journey, anchoring you in the elements and initiating profound personal transformation:

  1. March 28–30, 2025: Initiation (Fire)
The journey begins with Fire, igniting your purpose and setting the stage for transformation.

  2. June 27 – July 6, 2025: Into the Wild (Water)
Meet the Oak through a PlantQuest in nature, delving into the depths of intuition, emotions, and flow.

  3. October 3–5, 2025: Transition (Air)
Explore the alchemy when Water and Fire are brought together to form the 3rd element.

  4. December 28, 2025 – January 4, 2026: Monastery of the Heart (Earth)
A PlantQuest to ground deeply, embody resilience, and manifest the wisdom gained throughout the journey.

The Hero’s Quest

Twice a month, over the span one year, we come together in a ceremonial setting—either virtually or in person—to open new doors of your inner journey. We immerse ourselves in the light of archetypal energies, exploring our reactions, learning to navigate ourselves, and building friendship and alliance with Oak along the way - and integrate them into our daily life.

  • 12 Online Circles: Around mid-month, we connect virtually for ceremonial practices and shared insights.

  • 10 In-Person Circles: On the 28th of each month, we meet in person (with an online option available) to share ceremonial cacao and go further into archetypal energies. We also will have deeper shamanic treatments such as vapor baths, drum journeys, and smoke baths

  • 2 Special Events: To some stages of the journey we’ll invite others to hold space and to dance with us.
