Crossing into the Light – A Spring Equinox Ceremony
The Sun rises, and the world awakens. Can you feel it?
Now, at the Equinox, the balance of Light and Darkness holds for a breath—equal night, equal day—before the Sun claims its dominant place in the sky once more. This is the time of emergence. The roots have gathered their strength through winter’s stillness. Now, the sap rises, the branches stretch, and life begins to unfold.
You, as the Traveller, stand at this threshold. Can you feel the fire stirring within? Of what you have dreamt through the winter, drinking from the deep waters of feeling and intuition now can become truth. The time of dreaming is over, the staff is placed in your hands—will you rise as its bearer? There is no need to wait for permission, it is now to step forward, carrying the fire of vision into the world.
This is the time of claiming. In our heroes quest we meet the Ideal of our father, like an Emperor he stands firm, his foundation rooted in wisdom. He builds, he shapes, he commands—not through force, but through presence. And above him, the Sun shines, a golden force of life and clarity. Can you meet its gaze? Can you stand in its light, unafraid?
This ceremony is a crossing, a passage from the dreaming to the doing. Together, we will mark this moment in the old ways—calling upon Oak, upon the guardians of this turning, and upon the fire that burns within you.
The Ceremony
This gathering is part of The Oak Path, a journey through the cycles of life, aligning with the rhythms of nature and the wisdom of the ancients.
Through meditation anround the Fire, we will step into the threshold of the Equinox, feeling the balance before the shift. The drum will carry us into the presence of the Sun, the Emperor, and the staff-bearers of old, guiding us toward the path that calls us forward. In the circle, we will speak what is rising within us, sharing our vision as we prepare to walk into the season of action. And, as is tradition, we will close with a shared meal—honoring the light, the land, and each other.
